James was raised in a single parent home for most of his life. Growing up in the city tested James in his youth. When young James was raised in the church, and as he grew older the more influenced by the world he became. James grew up in a city of gangs, violence, and high crime. His life started going downhill in junior high school. After three attempts at the 9th grade, James officially dropped out and got his GED. Once James received his GED, he joined the Army National Guard which he served in for about two years. This is when he started to push to change his life around somewhat.
After almost two years passing in the Army National Guard, he decided to join the active duty Army. James served almost 15 years in the active duty Army. In the Army James served as an Airborne Infantryman, Human Resources Specialist, and a Recruiter. During his time in the Army he was a mentor, leader, counselor, trainer, and supervisor; these are all duties of a non-commissioned officer in the Army.
Presently, James has obtained a AAS from Temple College and a BSAS from Tarleton State University. He substitutes when time permits, his main focus is Unbound Outreach. God Has brought James a long way from when he was younger. He formed the outreach to help change lives and bring people closer to God.

About Unbound Outreach
Unbound Outreach, is a volunteer outreach group based in Cameron, TX and is now also the official outreach for Holy Ground Baptist Church. We are a group of strong Christians spreading the word of God, to encourage those who have deviated away from God. We are here to uplift those that need a positive influence in their life. We all understand how outside influences have an effect on our lives. We are also here to introduce God to those who don't know him or help improve the relationship you have with him. God is our Lord and Savior, he is our Father. We pray for those in our community and hope to see more lives changed. If you would like to volunteer, donate, sponsor, or need prayer; please contact us via email on our contact page, one of our members will contact you in regards to your interest. We host and participate in various community events including school and juvenile jail programs.
